Sometimes in life, the perfect storm rolls in. We think the worst of it is over and then more bad weather heads our way. That is an accurate way to describe "Bonnie's" situation. She is part of a bonded pair which includes "Shotzie" a dachshund. Both are 11 year old females and have been together since they were puppies. Unfortunately, their person died recently and none of her family stepped in to take them. These 2 sweet seniors were headed to the shelter where they would be split up and their future unknown. As luck would have it, two of our Jacksonville Dog Café founding rescues, D.A.R.E and Kamp Kritter, have stepped in to save them and ensure they are staying together. However, very shortly thereafter, Bonnie developed horrible bladder stones which required emergency surgery on a HOLIDAY weekend! This was very costly and we are hopeful to find anyone able and willing to 1. assist with her medical bill 2. adopt these two dogs TOGETHER. If you can't adopt, donating would be so wonderful to help these rescues fund her expenses and keep her healthy until their forever home is found. Many thanks to Kamp Kritter and D.A.R.E for stepping in to keep these two sweethearts together and caring for them.
